The Schneider Collection of Cameroon Art

This descriptive catalog was created in 1995 by Dr. Gilbert D. Schneider and details pieces in a collection of art from the Republic of Cameroon. The items comprise a comprehensive cultural inventory of useful and prestige items common to the highlands of the Northwest Province. Pieces were collected over the period 1947-1980 by Gilbert and Evan Schneider.  The collection is an educational resource to explore the wonder, power and beauty of traditional Cameroon culture.  Color photographs in the catalogue are presented to offer context to the pieces in the collection.
